Hi,
For last few days I have encountered a problem about using MS Office on my desktop with Win XP Operating System. The problem is that, whenever I went to launch MS Word, I have got the following error message:
Â
Runtime Error!
Program: C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12WINWORD.EXE
R6025
Pure virtual function call
After that, if I click on the OK button, the message disappears and thus I am unable to use MS Office anymore.
Can anyone please in this aspect to solve this problem?

Check if you have adequate free RAM memory space available for the program to run. And also check if drive C has plenty of available free space for the page file to use. If you think you have no problem in these parts of your computer, maybe a simple re-installation would solve the run time problem.
There is also a repair option if you don’t want to uninstall Microsoft Office from your computer.
-
Click Start button, and then Control Panel.
-
Click Add or Remove Programs.
-
Click Microsoft Office from the list of installed programs then hit the Change button.
-
Choose Repair from the option then click Continue. Follow the succeeding steps.

You can try the following steps with Word:
-
On the TOOLS MENU, click customize.
-
Select the COMMANDS tab if necessary.
-
In the categories on the left select TOOLS.
-
In the COMMANDS section on the right locate the COM add-ins command.
-
Drag the COM add-ins to a toolbar location of your choice.
-
Click OK to close the customize toolbar dialog.
-
Click the COM add-ins command to open the com add-ins dialog.
-
Deselect the add-ins to prevent it from loading when WORD starts.
Also check if any background application is conflicting with office application. So boot to safe mode and then try to start Word again.

The best thing to do in order to solve this problem is:
-
Insert the Microsoft Office Program in your CD-Rom to start re-installing this program a fresh.
-
After this, you are advised to right click on the Start button and choose control Panel.
-
Choose Add or Remove program and then choose the Microsoft Office from the already installed programs the click on the change button.
-
Choose to repair from the dialog box and continue. Give it time since it repairs all and follow the instructions accordingly.
Thanks.
