Hi,
My operating system is Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2. Yesterday, I had a problem with my MS Outlook. When I tried to check my mail using Outlook, I had to enter my username and password. An error report also appeared, which was sending and receiving error "0x800CCC92". It also told me that the mail server stopped both my connection and login.
I had done nothing with my login details and settings. They were the same settings I used from the very start. Even now, I still can't send and receive email from any of my contacts. This is totally irritating. My friends have not had any kind of problem with their Outlook and it's so unfair.
Can anyone help me out? Thank you.

Hello brother you must read these instructions to over come the problem.
Check your network connection. If your wireless or Ethernet adapter is not properly connected, Outlook will not be able to communicate with email servers. To check your network status, open the Start menu, click on "Control Panel" and double-click on the "Network Connections" icon.
2
Make sure your network adapter is using the TCP/IP protocol. In the "Network Connections" window, right-click on your wireless or Ethernet adapter icon and choose "Properties." Then go to the "General" tab and make sure the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" option is checked.
 3
Create a new mail profile. Sometimes Outlook will stop working because part of your mail profile has been corrupted. Go back to the "Control Panel" window and double-click on "Mail." Then click on "Show Profiles" and hit the "Add" button. Follow the on-screen instructions for configuring your email account and press "Finish" when you are done.
 4
Take Outlook online. If you are momentarily disconnected from the Internet, Outlook may fail to communicate with mail servers and will go offline. This will prevent you from sending or receiving new messages. To go back online, right-click on "Offline" in the lower-right corner of the main Outlook window and uncheck the option labeled "Work Offline."
 5
Run the Auto Archive tool. Outlook may slow down or stop responding if your mailbox size grows too large. To resolve the issue, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Mailbox Cleanup." Then click on the "Auto Archive" button. This will move old messages to an archive file and improve Outlook's performance
Thanks,

Check if you have a good internet connection when checking your mails. If you can not use your Microsoft Outlook to send and receive emails, try checking your mails using your web browser. If you can access it then there is no problem with your connection. The error code 0x800CCC92 points to a password rejected or that the password you used was rejected. Check again your settings in Microsoft Outlook for POP3, SMTP, and servers if your username and password are correct. If there is no problem with your username and password then maybe your password got corrupted. Go to the control panel and then change it.
You may also try uninstalling then reinstalling Microsoft Outlook.
