Hi guys,

MS Sharepoint has encountered a problem. It is showing the error message

The Unattended Service Account cannot be set for the service application.

The Secure Store service key might not have been generated or properly refreshed after the service was provisioned.

Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation.

Have you any idea regarding this issue?

Please help.

MS SharePoint has encountered a problem

Hi,

You are facing this problem because the service key was not generated properly. To solve this problem you need to reinstall the software and create a new account with a new key. Follow the steps below:

1. Uninstall the software from your system; also delete all the files and folders created by this software. Now, reinstall it on your system.

2. Go to the create account page of SharePoint, a new window will open. You will be asked to type the username and password to create an account.

3. Type a username and password and click create account. The username and password should be different and should contain only alpha-numeric characters.

4. Now, the account will be created and you can use SharePoint.
