There is a strange error message which I receive when I am using my MS Word 2003 on a Windows Vista Ultimate machine. I have English version of MS Office installed on my machine.
I create a document using MS Word, save it in a particular location on my hard drive. But when I try to do any modification in the document which I have already saved, I get an error message
“The list of common French (France) Auto Corrections is not available. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
I do not remember making any changes in my language , neither would I want to disable the Auto Correct features of English. Please help me to find a way out of this annoying error message.

The error “The list of common French (France) Auto Corrections is not available.
This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?” has a good and easy solution.
It is because you have not installed French Language with your Word 2003.
Solution:
• Turn the track changes off
• Select all (CTRL+A)
• Go to Tools
• Go to language
• Click Set language
• Check preferred language
• Click OK
If you want to avoid language change permanently, follow below steps:
• Go to Tools -> language -> Set Language
• Clear the tick mark next to Detect Language Automatically
For copy-pasted text to other document, language attribute is also copy-pasted. To avoid this, paste as unformatted text (Edit ->Paste ->Unformatted Text)

Hello!
One possible reason for this error to occur is that the format of your text is in French. In this case, French language is activated but not French proofing tool was installed. You can deactivate this by following these steps:
-
Click on "Start" button.
-
Go to "Programs", "Microsoft Office", "Microsoft Office Tools", and click on Microsoft Office Language Settings.
-
Check out the list of languages on the column named "Enabled Languages". In your case, make sure English is on this list.
-
To ensure that your Microsoft Word is now using English language, open a Microsoft Word, click on "Tools" from the menu tabs, go to "Language" and click on "Set Language". Select English, click on "Default", click "Yes", and click "OK".

There is some French somewhere in the document. Try to find it:
• Press CTRL+F
• Find box will open
• Click more
• Box will expand
• Click format
• Click language
• Select French (select only)
• Click OK
• Click find next
If any word is found with formatted as French, change them to English. For a lot of such French formatted words, use replace box – works the same way as find.
French text may be in some header or footer, also.

MS word error message while trying to edit the document.
You have said that there strange message you have received while you were working with your MS Word 2003. You have been creating a file and saved it in folder for this reason you have got an error message. You must have to save your MS Word document .doc file.
So you will not see an error message again. You may have to visit at Tools menu. Click on language and on Set language. There are several languages options. You just see a list of languages name. Just to select English(U.S.). Well, a note that you must have been proper connection of your computer.
