I am using Microsoft Works 8.5 to create labels. I am having problem when trying to change the default font type. When I try to change the font after typing on labels, the font is reverting to its default style. Does anyone have a solution?
MS Works: Font keeps on reverting to default
Here is a way to set your preferred font permanently.
- Open Microsoft Works
- In the files menu click on new
- In the format menu select font
- Set the font type and font size you want
- In File menu select save as
- Give a name to the word processor template then select the “Use this template for new Word Processor documents” check box
- Click OK
You are done. Now you will use your preferred font format when working with all documents. To change your default font repeat this process.

Hi Hillary,
You can try to make your document as a template so every time you want the same font and format you just need to open that particular document. Here is how:
-
Open a file and add contents
-
Click on edit on top of your application and click on “select all”.
-
Make all your font changes (font type, color and size). All of the highlighted portion will be changed.
-
If you are satisfied with the changes click on File and then “Save as” and put the name of the file.
