Hello,

Why am I getting the following errors when running Nastran 2012 Student Edition on Windows 7-64? Have you any resolution to fix this issue? Any suggestion would be helpful. Provide some proper solutions. Thanks.

Hi Violet,
The error is because the command information for MSC Nastran is incomplete.
To resolve this error follow the steps as mentioned below:
1) Open the MSC Nastran 2012 version on your system
2) Open the MSC Nastran command information window
3) In the Optional keywords field, type 'prog=edu auth=edu arch=32'

This problem with Nastran 2010 Student Edition has or triggers three successive error messages:

Unsupported 16-Bit Application
The program or feature “\??\C:\MSC.Software\MD_Nastran_Student_Edition\20102\Nastran\bin\nastran.exe” cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.
