Hi friend,

This is what you need to do to solve this problem:

First, check your computer’s clock. Set time and date perfectly. Now follow these instructions:

1. Go to run from the start button.

2. Here type “ regsvr32 softpub.dll” and press enter.

regsvr32 softpub.dll

3. Now restart your MSN messenger. One more thing, remove all server settings of the Internet Explorer proxy . To do this:

  • Go to Internet Explorer – then tools – then internet option.
  • In the connection tab, click on LAN settings.

3. Here in proxy server box, uncheck the option,  use a proxy server for your LAN.

4. Then press ok and restart computer.

There are several reasons for this error to appear, but it is easy to fix. I will discuss all the reasons and their solutions one by one:

1. Your system has incorrect time and date setting. To solve, update the time. Double click on the time in the taskbar and set the time.

2. Your Internet Explorer is not configured as well. There are some problems with your proxy settings. To solve, open Internet Explorer and click on tools and then on internet options. Now select connections and correct your connection settings.

3. May be your firewall is blocking your connection. Kindly add this software to the firewall exception list.

4. Try to get the latest drivers for your device. Run windows update and install all recommended updates.
