Hi,
I have made a presentation for my school project showcase and as I have a team , I mailed them the presentation. But they said that the whole presentation is ok but the sound files are not playing. As we decided earlier that we will add sound they were upset. But I was shocked !!! Because I personally added sounds in that presentation?
I checked by myself and they were right. Â It plays fine in my PC only. How can solve this problem ?
Please help.

The reason why the sounds are not playing in another PC is the sound files added to your presentation are only linked to the presentation. They are not embedded into it. So MS PowerPoint cannot find the sound files in your friend's computer.
You have to include them in your presentation, as a part of it.

Thanks for the reply dude.
But I'm afraid, I never did that. So it will be nice, if you show me step by step procedures to embed the sound files.
Would you?

The first thing you have to do is:Â
-
If your sound files are in MP3 format, convert them to WAV format. As MS PowerPoint, will not except MP3 format sound file to be embedded in any presentation.
As soon as you are done with your converting thing, let me know so that I can show you rest of the trick.

And don't forget to inform me the version of MS Office that you're using.

OK mate. I'm done with converting my mp3 files to WAV format. Â I'm using MS Office 2007.
What should I do now?

Ok.
-
Now open your presentation and remove every mp3 sound file that you linked.
-
Make a new folder for your presentation and copy all the components (.ppt file, images, wav sounds) to that folder.
After you are done with copying:
-
Open your presentation.
-
Click on insert button and select "Music and sounds"
-
Select "Sound from file"
-
Then just insert the WAV files one by one.
As they are in WAVÂ format now, the music files will be embedded not just linked like the first time.
