My Acer Display Driver Keeps Crashing While Using The System
When the user plays any game or plays any video file in their system, the Acer display driver keeps crashing, and the Windows system or application will freeze, crash, or exit it to the desktop. It is a BSOD error with the description message ‘Display driver stopped responding and has recovered’ or ‘Display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered.’
The error code occurs when the Timeout Detection and Recovery features detect that the graphics card does not respond within a period, then reinstall it with the Windows Display Driver Model. The methods to fix the issue are as follows:
Fix 1: Update the driver for Graphic Hardware.
The user can visit the Driver Talent software because it will scan the computer and recommend the driver that is needed by the system.
Fix 2: Increase the GPU Processing Time
Step 1: Exit all the programs running in Windows.
Step 2: Go to Start, then type regedit and double-click on regedit.com.
Step 3: Locate and select
‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control|GraphicsDriver.’
Step 4: Click on New and select QWORD value for the registry value, then type TdrDelay as the name and click on Enter. Add 8 for the value data, then click on OK.
