My ADSL Router is not functioning well

After I installed windows 7 operating system my ADSL router is not functioning.

All the lights are displaying but no internet connection available.

Please help me.

My ADSL Router is not functioning well

There are many possible factors that might be affecting your internet connection. Have you tried other computer or laptop? Just to make sure that the problem is not from your internet provider.

Next, check the settings or configuration of your router. There's a possibility that the configuration of the router was affected by the changed in your operating system. Try logging in to your router and change the settings, making sure that it has the required settings and save the settings. Then test if it works, but if not, try to check the Firewall settings of your Windows 7.

Try disabling the Firewall then test it. Lastly, try scanning your computer for possible virus/viruses that may affect the internet connectivity.

Hello Sahan,

First thing you will need to do is check and make sure that the windows 7 operating system is working properly. After that you will need to do the following:

• Check your computer and see if the DSL settings have been configured properly.
• If they haven't you will need to do that.
• Go to the task bar on your computer and then locate the network icon.
• Click on it and then click "Open Network and Sharing Center".
• After that click "Change Adapter Settings" followed by "Local Area Connection".
• Next locate the Internet protocol and click on it and then change the settings appropriately.
