The performance of my desktop has been slow lately and now crashes frequently. I recently did a full system scan with my anti-virus and it detected a mark win exe registry error. What could this be? I used Avast! anti-virus. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I would recommend that you install a good registry cleaner and perform a registry scan. In general the registry scanners also provide fixing options. My recommendation would be to use Registry Easy to scan and fix errors in the system registry. Other recommended software is TuneUp Utilities, this will disable all unnecessary startup programs and also includes a Registry clean up. The software has an one click maintenance that is run on regular intervals by the software. It will check for such registry errors and optimize your system performance. And please have your anti-virus up-to-date and schedule regular full system scans.
Hope this helps.

Hi Howard,
Well, Avast it self acting like virus on many computers, when you use it's free or unregistered version. For get rid of this problem you can buy a registered antivirus and permanently delete the Avast antivirus. It might be good for your computer. For your exe. Registry error you can just follow this link. http://www.tuneupadvisor.com/exe-error.aspx

Hello Celena Howard,
I think that you are using a unregistered version of the avast software. You have to get a licenses key after that you can perform your desired task in there. But if your Pc is working slow then you have to follow the given steps and i hope that you can get benefit from there. Just go to start menu and after that go to "RUN". And apply the following steps one by one and delete the things.
1)%temp%
2)Temp
3)Cookies
4)Msconfig (After that stop those program which you are not using)Â
