I think the best thing you can do is not inserting that stick (probably not anything I mean any hardware in your pc by yourself) by your self you have to take your pc in a service center (better if you can take it to the service center where from you bought the pc).

I there are lot’s of expert and engineer there to solve this kind of problem though I will discuss some common problem that can cause this kind of problem first ensure double time that your pc support that kind of ram stick then ensure that you don’t try to set as much as memory that is not support by your motherboard. Also your ran card that you bought can be damaged or any thing else.

You need to first access the BIOS setup after you have inserted the memory and then boot it up. Choose the Save Settings and Exit so that your new settings will be saved.

The BIOS sometimes do need to be entered first once a new hardware is attached in your computer especially on memory. Now, you can look if the memory is added but if not, return it to the store where you bought it and have it replaced. Bring the CPU there as well so that you can easily test and identify what you need.

Hope this helps you with your problem.

Hello Kamal,

To increase the RAM capacity of your computer you will need first to identify what kind of memory your computer is using, that is, if the memory is a DDR or of the SDR type.

If the Memory is DDR for example, the memory you will get for the upgrade should be a DDR too. Then check to see what is the maximum RAM that the computer can support, for instance some computers cannot support over 2 GB RAM capacity.

Once you have checked all that you will have to purchase the right memory and then next to the memory that is already installed you will see an empty memory slot. You will just insert the memory you have purchased in that empty memory slot.

Hope this helps.
