Hi,
I modified my computer’s theme and it is working fine. Recently, I decided to alter it again but this time, something went wrong. It displays figures that were not supposed to be there. For instance, a rectangular figure shows up in the middle part of my screen with transparent stair steps on the upper left corner. I have tried troubleshooting but it has not worked. I went back to my simple settings but the figures are still there. I have also tried restoring my system but it did not change a thing. What do you think is the problem? What am I meant to do in order to fix this?

My computer’s theme display is having issues
Hallo Fiona,
Have you tried restoring the default theme? If you have not then I will suggest that you do that by using the following procedure:
-
Right click on your desktop and then choose personalize.
-
In the box that will open, look for 'aero themes' and open on the default windows theme.
-
Click Ok
Remove any gadgets if you had placed any on the desktop. Also trying changing the desktop background and the screen save by still using personalize, and then change desktop settings or screen saver options in the box that will open.
Hope this help.

My computer’s theme display is having issues
There are two solutions for this problem.
Â
The first solution is click the right mouse button then click personalize/properties, then go to the appearance and select the theme named "default theme".
Â
The second solution is you can remove your desktop gadgets. It might be a solution for this
Â
If these two solution will not work then you can create a backup of your pc and then reinstall the windows.
