Basic Check: check whether your cpu power cable is fitted in the ac plug properly or not. check whether your monitor power cable is properly fitted in the ac socket or not.

If the monitor cable is properly inserted in the ac socket, then check whether your monitor power light blinks or not. if it is working fine then when the windows will rebt completely and open the desktop default, then your monitor power light will turn on steady.

Still if not its working then its time for a technician.

Thanks.

To make sure that your CPU is working, find some extra monitor in your neighbours or friend to test if your CPU is working. If the CPU is working, the to check if the cable connected into your VIDEO adapter card is connected properly, disconnect and connect the cable to make sure that the cable is properly connected.

If you can’t find an extra monitor, during the start-up of your computer, you will hear two fast short beep codes where this beeps indicates that your system is Ok. If you haven’t the sound you might have problem in your CPU so check the CPU first.

If CPU is good, try to test your monitor using another CPU, and if it is not working you have the problem in the monitor. Call for a technician to fix your monitor.

If you don’t see anything on your monitor after starting the CPU, make sure the monitor itself is plugged to the power and you see the LED power indicator light up. If the LED power indicator in front of the monitor doesn’t light up, try pressing the power button to turn on the monitor. If nothing happens then I guess the monitor is busted.

You need to bring it to a repair shop for proper servicing. But if the LED power indicator lights up but you don’t see anything on the screen, make sure the video cable is connected properly to the video port at the back of the CPU. If still nothing happens, try to remove and reinstall the video card on the slot.

Turn off your CPU and open the CPU case. Find the video card and remove it from the slot. Don’t forget to unscrew it on the side. Once the card is removed, clean the gold contacting surface of the card with a pencil eraser and do it on both sides and finish it off with a dry clean cloth. After this, insert the video card back to the slot.

Try booting again and see if it works. If you are using the built-in video card, obviously, this method doesn’t apply. In this case, it would be advisable to bring your computer to a computer repair shop to properly diagnose the problem. The problem can be from the power supply or you have a damaged built-in video card.

In case the built-in video card is the problem, the only solution is to buy a new motherboard.
