My desktop shown duplicate icon ?

i have strange problem with my desktop, every files and icon in duplicate form, help me ?

My desktop shown duplicate icon ?

There maybe something wrong with the registry settings. Try to do these following steps:

Open the registry for Windows XP using these steps:

Go to Start and Select Run

Type regedit in the window and click OK

When the registry window is now open, go to the following folders: HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer User Shell Folders

Then try to change the entries by Double-clicking Desktop and set it to  %USERPROFILE%Desktop

Then go to the next folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer User Shell Folders

Change the entries again by setting Common Desktop to  %PUBLIC%Desktop

Well, there is something wrong with the settings of your computer. Just explore its settings and try to troubleshoot the problem. If you cant solve it you need to hire and IT expert for that. Maybe you have changed its settings. Set the settings as default.
