My DVD drive is not found when installed Windows 7
You might having trouble with your Windows installation. The installation is not done correctly. You have to install your Windows correctly. Your Windows is facing a problem in detecting the device of your computer. It is unable to detect the DVD ROM. Or, it could be the BIOS problem.
Firstly check if your DVD ROM is detected by the BIOS. If it is detecting your DVD ROM, then it is the problem of your Windows and your chipset driver. Install the updated version of your chipset driver and try to update your BIOS. But be careful while updating BIOS, it is a hard task, so do it carefully or take help from a hardware expert.

My DVD drive is not found when installed Windows 7
Dear Hikarib
You said that the installation was successful but the DVD drive is seen in BIOS and not in device manager nor on your computer. There is only one reason for that, and that is, your DVD drive is not installed successfully. Device manager, is the only proof that you have installed something in your system. I guess, you have to install it again and make carefully execute every step, because the installation sometimes tricks the user, you think that it was already ok, but the truth is, it is not. So better to install it again and if in case, the result is still the same, try this:
-
Install a drive through online, I mean you can search for the drive in the Internet, just type your computer model in the search box in Google or Yahoo.
-
Download the drive, and install it in your system
-
After installing, check your device manager again.Â
-
If ever, you can't find it there, I think it's time for you to bring your computer and your disk to the store where did you buy it, or you can consult a technician for that. Hope this will help you.
