I used windows XP in my desktop computer with 80GB hard disk. But I have encountered a serious problem. My hard drive does not open when double clicking and as well as pressing enter button are used. Also, I can't access my drive and I can't do any work with out saving my file.
What can you suggest that I should do now to solve this problem?

My Hard drive of Desktop pc is not opening
Hi,
I think it has a virus problem. You should scan your computer by updating Antivirus. Virus has already damaged your hard disk boot sector. Otherwise, you should install new Windows XP with partition of your computer hard disk. When you install new Windows, use your updated Antivirus properly.
I think this advice will be helpful.

First, get a nice Antivirus to scan your computer and check if there is a virus. Antivirus will automatically disinfect your system.
If the problem remains, then you have to recover your data using software Runtime GetDataBack.
You can get this software from here Download.
It will take a while to recover your data but you will get it back.
After recovering your data, you have to format your hard drive and install a fresh copy of Windows.
See if the problem goes away.
Good Luck!

Hi Stefenhon,
Alright, your problem is that you cannot open the file, I know some ways on how you could open it.
1. Right click on the folder or word that you want to open.

a. Right click the word or folder.
b. Open file with.
c. Choose for the program that can open the file.
d. Then click that program, then click ok.
Reasons why the problem occur:
1. The folder or word is copyrighted.
2. The folder is in the archive mode.
Recommendation:
1. Right click the folder or word, then click properties.
2. In the properties box, deselect the archive.
