My HP Mini started to malfunction a few months ago. I tried turning it on normally and using safe mode; it would lead up to the windows XP screen, then after a couple of seconds it suddenly flashes a BSOD then restarts. It would repeat over and over again so I lost hope on it and gave up.
A few days ago, I just started to research a fix again and found the MIE Restore Image Creator. I was naturally excited to try it out. The page stated that I needed at least a 2 GB USB.
I grab both my 4 GB and 8 GB USB and began using the program to write the recovery image into the USB, but then I get error.
I tried using both USB, but both got the same error prompt, but each had a different numbered 'Physical Drive'. I really hope this can fix my laptop. Please help me out?
Thank you.

Hi Joseph,
You must clarify the actual problem with your HP-mini. Whether it boots in Normal Mode (without going to Safe Mode) or it just boots only using Safe Mode. Also check after re-installing the fresh Windows with a different source.

After the problem still occurs then it might be the issue of RAM or Memory compatibility issue.

Since you have already tried the Restore image Creator of your HP Mini and it didn’t work out, here is what else you can do to get this problem fixed:
-
Get your Windows installation CD and reformat your Windows platform. You need to wipe out the windows quickly. How to Uninstall Windows XP and Reinstall It
-
IF the problem still persists even after installing a fresh copy of Windows XP, You need to consult either HP or a local technician to take a look at your system. It could be a hard drive malfunction issue.
