Hi,

My image retouching and editing tool GIMP has encountered a problem.

It has failed to locate some files in the respective directory.

I do understand the error message. If you have any idea for the error, please help me.

The Procedure Entry Point gzdirectcould not be located in the dynamic link library zlib1.dll

Hello King,

Here is what you will need to do in order to resolve the issue that you are getting:

• You will need to try uninstalling it, and then after that turn of antivirus.
• You will then need to do a reinstallation of  gimp.
• And then try it before you turn your antivirus back on.

Hi Lopezs,

 

I think you are missing some directory dll files which are required to execute the .exe file check your system whether you have or not if you have then keep it somewhere other folder as precaution and download it from GIPM plugins site and paste it. You've most likely got a copy of zlib1.dll somewhere on your system, in a directory where it shouldn't be located in windows directory or system 32 folder so what to do rename that one after that copied those plugins into your user plugins file, so they were copies of those in your plugins folder in the Gimp program itself and deleted them from your user folder I hope now its worked fine after that.
