PC Keyboard Typing Incorrect Characters

I have a problem with my keyboard on my laptop.

Whenever I press the letter "A, C, W" the A comes with a S and the C with an X and a W with a Q.

I tried to clean up my keyboard, but it still has the same effect on it.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

Go to your Control Panel and check if the keyboard is properly configured depending on your country. Also, you may try the following troubleshooting below:

1. Clean your keyboard. There might be some dust behind those keys.

2. Install Intellitype Pro software. There are keys that needs this type of software.

– Intellitype Pro Software 32-Bit

– Intellitype Pro Software 64-Bit

3. Try to unplug your keyboard and then plug it back again and see if it works. 

4. If the keyboard is plugged into a USB port or hub, remove it and plug directly to your computer.

5. Try your keyboard on another computer if the same issue will appear.

Steps on how to fix your keyboard:

  1. Click start button.
  2. Click settings.
  3. Find control panel.
  4. Click Regional and Language options.
  5. Click the united states button both on upper and lower case.

Other solutions:

  • Try an external keyboard.
  • If this does not work try system restore to a point when it is still in good condition. 
  • If this doesn't work, then its time for you to see a computer technician.
