Good day everyone.
Apparently, my laptop is suddenly running too slow. I'm using Acer Aspire 4315 with Intel processor 1.86 GHz and my OS is Windows XP. Here's the problem. After logging in, the laptop is processing very slow and it's quite unusual as before since it only takes like 5 minutes or less then I can access different applications all at the same time. Right now, it's really taking me too long and I can't even open Google browser any application at the same time since it keeps on processing.
So I'm incapable of clicking on anything unless it allow me. I've already deleted unnecessary files and programs that I'm not using; clean up disk drives; used CCcleaner, deleted browsing history, yet nothing resolves the problem. I'm wondering what's happening with it and what should be done to resolve this.
Any suggestions or technical help would be highly appreciated.

Your computer might be infected with virus. Have you updated and performed full system scan?
Please performed full system scan in safe mode. Restart PC , Press F8, safe mode then performed scanning with your antivirus Try removing some application process upon start up doing the following: Click start, click run, type msconfig, go startup and uncheck programs that is not necessary…
Try installing malware/spyware removal tool then run the program.. Another solution .To restore your system to a certain point that it works fine…
Click start, all programs , accessories, system tools, system restore, click restore my computer to an earlier time. If the problem still exists you need to reinstall your operating system. If you don’t know how have it reinstalled by a technician

I had the same problem before with my laptop, and what I did was defragmented the hard drive and I backed up my hard drive, and important files to an external hard drive and re installed my operating system.
But you had mentioned that you did all of these ,you may have a bad hard drive or need new RAM. You will need to reformat your hard drive but If it doesn’t run better after that. Then you should replace some of those components.
Sometimes a fresh start is the only answer. Back up your data and reformat. You do have several things you can do before you hit that point though.

1. Check if your laptop is getting hot unusual? Heat issue also makes laptop to perform slower
2. Most of the times reason behind laptops running slow is a corrupt registry try to run registry repair.
3. Check in the task manager look under the processes tab, look under CPU category and find what process has a higher CPU usage than its easy to determine if spyware is chewing usage.

1. Clean your computer from viruses. You can download Microsoft security essentials. It is a free antivirus software and it will clean and protect your computer from viruses, spyware and malware that can otherwise cause your system to run slow. You can also use the Microsoft malicious software removal tool. For Malwares, “Malwarebytes” is normally a recommended software in most occasions because it is highly regarded. Whichever antivirus/antimalware software you choose to use ensure you keep it updated.
2. Defragment your hard disk. This is especially helpful when you add a large number of files, when your free disk space is 15% or less or when you install new programs. To defragment your hard disk, Click start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter. There you are meant to select the drive you want to defragment and then click the analyze button. Analysis is meant to show you whether or not to defragment the hard disk.
3. Detect and repair disk errors. Error checking determines and repairs bad sectors that slow down the computer. If you use your laptop daily you should run this utility once a week to help prevent data loss. To run this application go to my computer>Right click and go to properties> Go to tools and click the check now button. Select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors and click start. If you find bad sectors, choose to fix them.
4. You might be running software that you do not really need. Uninstall the software you are not using. Also, some software run at start-up. Click the run button in the start menu and type msconfig. Go to start up and uncheck he unnecessary programs that start automatically.
5. Update your windows and make sure you have the latest drivers especially video drivers.
6. Although not recommended, you may want to run a registry cleaner. This should be among the last solutions. Please ensure that you have a back–up of your registry before running a registry cleaner.
7. Lastly, if you can upgrade to windows 7, it is highly recommended that you do so.

Try the MSCONFIG to your computer try to follow this step,
1. Go to "start" and go to run type "msconfig" and then it will open your msconfig.
2. Go to "BOOT.INI" click the advanced option and check the "/NUMPROC-" and if you have two processor then select two.
3. Go to "Startup tab" and just disable you don't use and if you don't know what they are just go to Google and type the name and search it and after that just press ok. After that,

Go to "start" again and go to run and type "services.msc" and it will open the window that states all run on your computer and just right click the one that you want to disable and after that go to "my computer" right click and then go to properties, go to "advanced tab" click the performance setting, check the adjust best performance and or you can check custom to modified what you want to enable or disable program to your computer and then click apply after you do the customizing.
5. And then open up your Ccleaner, click cleaner and hit analyze and then run cleaner, then go to registry click scan issues after scanning click all, click fix selected issues and it will show up if you want to backup your registry just click no and it will come up how many issue to fixed and after that reboot your computer.

Hi,
Firstly scan your PC completely not particular files or folder you must complete scan it and it is recommended to scan using Microsoft security to check the bugs and virus and make sure your antivirus software is updated frequently.Now when you have scanned your PC for virus remove virus from it if you have any and if you don't check for the space in the system if much space is used try deleting unnecessary files and software from PC which also make it slow to work.
