17″ Monitor not functioning well
Have a few checks for this reason.
If your VGA card Not fixed correctly.
If your VGA card is burnt.
If VGA card Driver not install correctly.
Monitor errors
If VGA card not fixed correctly, not display monitor screen correctly.for this reason open your pc cover and remove card and clear card pin area by smooth clothes or a rubber. Then fix back the VGA card correctly.
If VGA card is burnt,Check for any smell in the card. If its smelling then replace to a new VGA card. This is a very rare thing to happen
If VGA software is not installed correctly,Get your original software CD and then install software follow instructions.
You can install automatically with windows XP , Right click my computer then point properties and click hardware after click Device manager and point to display adapter double click and display your VGA software and then right click and then click update driver.Follow instructions.
If monitor has issues,Replace the monitor with a new one Hope this solve this problem.
Firstly remember to check with alternative VGA card or Monitor to identify if its the CPU or LCS issue

17″ Monitor not functioning well
Hi!
There are 3 things you should know why your LCD monitor does not function well.
First and foremost let me tell you that an LCD monitor fails when it is about 5- 7 years old. This may be one of the reasons why your monitor is acting differently. And replacement is the only solution to it.
Second, the backlight of an LCD is first thing that breaks, and this may be the cause of your problem why there are no display on it.. And when the backlight breaks everything can go awry.
The lines that appear on your monitor may be a hardware fault and there are no solution on it. There is a need for you to replace it.
Lastly, When there is shuttling up and down, there may be an error on LCD ribbon connector cable and this can be repaired. You just need to replace the ribbon connector cable. Order from the OEM manufacturer and replace it yourself. It is located under the left-side hinge. It is not easy but it is certainly cheaper than replacing the entire display. Or you may ask help to an authorize computer repair center to have them replace for you.
I hope this might help you.
Cheers!

17″ Monitor not functioning well
Hi Koshitha,
It’s perfectly normal that our LCD malfunctions or gives us problems every now and then when it’s already more than 5 years of age. As with all other gadgets or equipment, it has its “tear and wear” period. Right now, I can give you some reasons as to why you’re having this issue as well as possible solutions you can immediately try. However, you may also want to think about purchasing a new one as another technical issue may arise again in the near future.
If your LCD monitor is not displaying very well, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
– You may want to check and change the screen resolution in your computer. You can do this by going to the Control Panel>Appearance and Themes>Display>Settings. Here, you can adjust the number of pixels in your screen resolution.
– Check your video card driver if it needs to be updated. You can do this by going to Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>System>Hardware>Click on Device Manager. Find your Video card in the list that will populate. This should be under the category of Display Adapters. Just right click on the video card and select update driver and you just have to follow the directions which will be given to you.
Hope this helps.

17″ Monitor not functioning well
The less expensive fixes would be to remove and reinstall the monitor and see if that works. If not, try a new power cord, as the lines would tend to be a power problem. Lastly, it is 5 years old and that's about how long they last, so take it to a local electronics store who should test it for free and see if it needs to be replaced.

17″ Monitor not functioning well
Hi,
There are different possible reasons in this case. Here are some of them.
*It can be problem with your operating system or motherboard. Try checking on some other CPU.
*Incorrect amount of voltage is going to the monitor.
* Maybe your monitor phase is too low. Look into the menu of the monitor, check out if the display settings are changed,
increase the refresh rate of your monitor from the properties of the system setting.
Hopefully some of this should work
