My Micromax q7 mobile wifi problem

I need help regarding the wifi of my Micromax Q7.  I have a DLink Router 802.11 b/g/n that my phone cannot connect to.  The WLAN of my phone is 802.11 b/g so it should connect.  Could this be a Micromax Q7 mobile hardware defect?

Hi there Menzies Dame,

 

It's most likely about the settings of either your phone or router and not a hardware problem.

 

Since I don't know the details about your router configuration, I can't help you with that, but still, check if your WLAN is set up properly and not hidden.

 

On the other side, make sure your Wi-Fi is enabled. Go to Menu – Connectivity – Wi-Fi. When your Wi-Fi is enabled, choose the option Search for networks. The list of networks your phone can see should appear. Choose the network from the list and then tap connect. You may be asked for a username or/and password and leave all the other settings just as they are.
