My motherboard does not recognise NVIDIA GTS 450
So I have a ASUS M4A87TD EVO motherboard which runs GEForce 8400 GS perfectly. Now I have installed GTS 450 and the system does not recognise it. Does anyone know what could probably be wrong?

I think you got it all wrong. You can not just add a device on your computer and then expect the system to automatically recognize and install its necessary drivers.
Whenever you add a new hardware on your system you simply need to install its drivers for the device to work and function as what it should be.
Since your computer is running on NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS, installing a different video card like the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 that you have will really not be recognized by the system since none of its drivers are yet to be installed.
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS is different from NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 which means that the drivers installed for NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS will not work on NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 that’s why the newly installed device wasn’t recognized.
