Hi Experts,
I have an issue with my Linksys Wireless Router. It is working fine on the internet connection and all, but my problem is regarding its WEP key. I recently changed my password for the WEP, but unfortunately, it is not accepting it. However, when I typed my old password, it is working.
You would think, it should not be an issue since I was able to use it still, but problem is, I let my neighbour borrow the connection for a day as they badly need it. And now, I am suspecting that many are still connecting on my router as my connection is slower than usual.
How can I make my changed password work without doing a reset on the router? Any ideas?

My password for the wireless router can’t be changed
Hi Dom,
There is a possibility that your neighbour is still connecting to your wireless router. So you just want to change your password to access the router. Open your web browser and type the default IP address to connect the router Home page, probably 192.168.1.1 .Enter the username and password of the router (Default Usernames for Linksys Routers admin or blank, Password admin or blank ,Please try the combinations of these to access router configuration Manager.)Then click Security tab -> Security Mode -> WEP and set up a new password. Then click Save Settings and exit the page.
If you still unable to set up a new password you should have to re-set the router. You do not want to fear about resetting the router it will does no harm. Hold down the reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds and do the above.

You should have a computer hardwired to the router. Open a browser, enter 192.168.1.1 on the address bar. It will ask for a login. Enter 'admin' as the username, 'password' as the password. Click the wireless tab and you can create or change your WEP password.
