Hi Guyz!

Please help me with my problem on my Live Messenger.

As I have confirmed with my online friends, they can't find me on the live messenger,

I am always appearing offline though I am online and set my status as available.

Kindly help me find a solution on this.

Hello Jtahari,

I have encountered this issue before.

In windows live you can sign in as "online", "busy", "away".

You can change the option on the main window, just click the button next to your display picture and choose available.

And your friends can now see you in green.

If that won't work try to restart your computer and log back in windows live messenger.

Hope this could help.

Hello, I have also encountered this error at my work because we're using live messenger.

Have also tried the suggested solution of Jhomar but to no avail. my co worker can't still see me on line.

Until I found out that I was log in to my laptop's live messenger and I set my status there as offline though I'm online and available. That's why when I log in to my desktop, it is still appearing offline though I'm available.

Try to figure it out, you might be a log in to another work station.

If so, try to log out on that computer or set your status there as online to everyone.

Try this and this might be the reason why you have this problem.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have tried Mr. Tahari's suggestions and it works. Right now I am already appearing available on all my friends on live messenger. I also forgot to set my status at my notebook to available.

I log in at my notebook and set my status as offline to some of my friends. And I think that is the main reason behind this issue. When you are log in to two different places, be sure that you are both appearing available.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

If you are still using Windows Live Messenger, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo then select Windows Live Messenger among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, install Windows Live Messenger back. Windows Live Messenger 2011 is part of Windows Live Essentials 2011.
