My Xbox Throws 0xd0000189 Error While Launching The Application

Xbox error code named as 0xd0000189 error that occurs when trying to launch applications like Netflix or when trying to play a Bluray disk. 0xd0000189 error code is accompanied by “Wait a full minute, then give it another try” error message that encourages the user to restart the application again. Improper alternate MAC address, Xbox One server issue, System file corruption, Firmware-related issue are reasons for the occurrence of the error code. The methods to fix the error code are as follows:

Method 1:

Clearing the MAC address.

Step 1: Press the Xbox One button to open the guide menu. Now, navigate to Settings icon and open it.

Step 2: Choose Network settings from the Settings tab.

Step 3: Now, move to Advance Settings menu.

Step 3: Select Alternate MAC address from the available options.

Step 4: Use Clear option to clear the MAC address.

Restart the system and check for the error again.

Method 2:

Run the application in Offline Mode.

Method 3:

Perform a console factory Reset.

Step 1: Click on Xbox icon and select Settings menu.

Step 2: Select System tab and from right-hand side, choose Console info & upgrades.

Step 3: Choose Reset console before clicking Reset & keep my games & apps from the option.

Wait for the process to complete then restart the computer.
