N-vidia G-eforce ST540M to work same time with an Intel HD Graphics

Hi,

Can I get my Nvidia Geforce ST540M to work at the same time with an Intel HD Graphics family inside my laptop? I would like to play my games very smoothly.

Hi Joan,

This can't have happened, because when you attach an external graphics card to any motherboard, it automatically disables the built-in one, which is the Intel Graphics on your laptop, so there is no solution for it. I would also like to point out that small laptops come with only one graphics card attached.

Dear Joan D Vogt,

The straight answer is – you are never allowed to use Nvidia Geforce ST540M to work at the same time with an Intel HD Graphics family inside your laptop. Whenever you are playing games, the computer uses only the better GPU which is your Nvidia Geforce ST540M. Moreover you can switch the graphics card usage manually to Nvidia Geforce ST540M from Intel HD by following steps-

• Nvidia control panel
• Select the manage 3D settings
• Global Settings tab
• Select the drop down from Auto to Nvidia
• Restart your laptop
