I have just changed my computer, previously I was using windows 7 but now  have purchased an Apple Macintosh with Mac OS X 10.6. But it does not support my Laser-jet printer HP 1080. I think the problem is with the drivers. Can someone suggests me whether my printer is compatible or not with Mac OS X 10.6. and from where I can get the “driver HP 1080 for Mac OS X 10.6.”

Hi Alicia Moore,

You have to go to this link in order to start your search about your laser printer, the link is here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/. You have to identify its model and brand name and input it there, choose the necessary operating systems before you download, HP printers supports MAC OS computers.

Hi,
Yes the problem will be definitely caused because of the out dated drivers and the MAC does not support any drivers that are originally made for the windows.

All you need to do is to go to the manufacturer web site and download the MAC OS version of the drivers.
Install these and the problem will be solved!

Hope this helps you and you got a good answer! 🙂
