Need antivirus for android phone

Hi there,

I recently bought a Samsung galaxy nexus, and I have been very happy with it. But recently with the outbreak of worms and viruses got me a little worried. Can anyone recommend me a good, reliable and free antivirus for my galaxy nexus?

Need antivirus for android phone

Hi Yvonne,

Smartphones always get infected with worms and viruses.  There are lots of anti virues softwares in the market place but most of them are not free.  You can use AVG antivirus software for android, I have given the link below to download the software.

I also recommend you to disable the installation of non-market applications as this may cause your devise to get infected with worms and viruses.  You can do that from "Uncheck Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources".
