Need help to disable auto update in Bitdefender Antivirus

Hi guys,

I am currently using Bitdefender Antivirus 2011, Each time my computer starts Bitdefender Antivirus automatically trigger a virus scan,

Please can anyone help me to solve this problem.

Need help to disable auto update in Bitdefender Antivirus

Hi there, 

I think you are having trouble with startup scan in Bit defender 2011. 

This is not an issue at all, after all startup scans are something very good even though it eats up little of your computer memory, it helps maintain your startup process (overall) and also helps you reduce malware or virus attack at startup.

If you don't want bit defender running at startup then do the following :- 

1. Go to start and then in run type msconfig.

2. Then a box appears in that click on the startup tab and in the screenshot instead of Kaspersky you will be able to see bit defender.

3. Untick it and then click apply and then ok and then restart problem solved.

Need help to disable auto update in Bitdefender Antivirus

You need to remove it from the list of computer Startup > Go to RUN > Type MSCONFIG > Startup Tab > Uncheck all Bit Defender services > Click on Apply and Restart the computer.
