Need help in Dreamweaver Instancebegin template

Why is it that IE 7 crashes when I create a document using a Dreamweaver template? 

My first line changes <!– InstanceBegin template="/Templates/default. dwt. PHP" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" –><!DOCTYPE html>. 

I've tried this on Firefox and the line does not change. 

Is there a workaround on this?

Need help in Instance begin template. 

I'm using Dreamweaver 5.

Hi there,
 
Updating your software will resolve the problem for sure.
 
However, there is a simple workaround – you will just need to adjust your code manually before opening it in the Internet Explorer.
 
Whenever you update the template, close all the documents in the Dreamweaver, open them in a simple text editor such as notepad and move the line  <!– InstanceBegin..> Below the <!DOCTYPE html> line.
