Hi, this question is for those who have tried using Endnote 3 tool. I have been searching for an option to include a field for the article’s original date of publication. This is different from the date of latest publication field. Has anyone tried doing this? How did you manage to do it? Thanks for the tip.
Need help on Endnote 3 when adding year
Hi Jack,
Indeed, there is no direct field in EndNote wherein you can put the original date of publication of the article. Though, there are some options wherein you can include the date.
You can incorporate it in the title of the publication when entering the data in the Title field.
Example: “The….(August 5, 1990)”
Also, with the document you are editing, open select "Convert Citations and Bibliography > Convert to Plain text" from the "Bibliography" group on the EndNote tab Microsoft Word will then create an "unlinked" copy of the citation which can be edited and saved.
