I would like to print a DOS application on my printer. The problem is it doesn't do anything. Do I need a third party software for this to work? I need someone to teach me GDI DOS printing. I'm on Windows 8 and my printer is an HP PhotoSmart Ink Advantage K501.
Need help in Gdi dos printing
Most GDI Printers nowadays, even they receive redirected data flow, those printers are not smart enough to render it on a paper. That could be the issue with your printer. A GDI printer wants the images be created in Windows way. You need to have a "Prinfil", this is a true Windows 32 which captures the DOS source ascii data flow and converts it into a real Windows GDI print job.
