Need help with WinZip files

Techyv hello,

One of the users has a lot of WinZip files,  which have uploaded by public for copyright registration to ‘Siebel’. It is not able to open in ‘Siebel’. I have found those files in the server and copied the same to my desktop. I have confirmed that it is WinZip files only by seeing PK characters in the file header.

When I am left clicking on it, word opens and I can only see a grey background with convert file dialogue box,  which asks to ‘convert file from’ and shows different options. I have no idea what is to be done there. When I   right click on it and select ‘Open with WinZip’ it gives me an error message that says,  ‘WinZip’ encountered invalid file name in the archive.’

The user told me that the file was uploaded to Siebel three times and the same problem shows there. Please help me to get out of this problem.

Need help with WinZip files

Hi,

 

Just simply check the file if its corrupted or maybe an error and then just simply scan your unit if there an infected file from the viruses or maybe spyware just simply check on that to avoid any error or problem from your system or software again and then try to check the version of your software if its suitable to your file before try to open the file and then go to the tools and then just simply click the Diagnostics to tell you what file within the ZIP directory the cause of the problem or error just simply check on that.

Need help with WinZip files

Hi!

The simple is solution is to use "WINRAR" or "7zip" while compressing or decompressing your files. these are the best compression utilities.
