Before playing the game “Lineage II”, check that your computer meets the requirements. Lineage II supports 32-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires 3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor; 1 GB RAM; 20 GB free space; NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT, ATI Radeon X1600 series, or better video card; sound card; and internet connection. With error code “610”, the problem is with GameGuard.

The error means GameGuard detected changes in its files or the files have been modified or the GameGuard files are missing. To fix the problem, simply delete the GameGuard folder and download it again. Start Windows Explorer then navigate to the installation folder of Lineage II. Here, look for the GameGuard folder and delete it.

After this, start Lineage II then click “CHECK FILES” in the game launcher to check for missing files. When it detects that the GameGuard folder is missing or its files, it will download GameGuard again. Another way is to copy the GameGuard folder from another user who has a working installation of Lineage II and it should fix the problem.
