Hi everyone,
I am having a laptop and I use the same when I work from home. My work involves designing/reviewing the graphical schematics and hence I am feeling to get a large monitor so that I can do my job easily. Also large monitor helps me to type large mails/reports. Now, I am not very sure on what to check to select a perfect monitor (provide good resolution). Also, I want to know the best way to connect laptop to monitor (like HDMI etc.,) Please guide me to know how to choose a right one for my needs.
Need ideas to choose a large PC monitor
I will guide you through a couple of technical specifications while searching for a monitor that is best for designing and reviewing graphical schematics:
1. The best viewing monitors are those that are built with IPS technology (In-Plane Switching). They offer accurate color rendition, great viewing angles, has no trouble in displaying shades of light and dark gray, and also offers a great readability for highlights and shadow details..
2. You wanted a bigger than average monitor. Bigger isn't always better when referring to screen size. A 22 inch IPS monitor will offer much more image rendition than a huge 50 inch plasma screen that will blur the images and hurt your eyes.
3. Connectivity. A laptop offers a HDMIÂ port, and also a VGA port. You could look for a monitor that supports a HDMI connection, or a VGA connection, it doesn't matter which kind; but i would strongly recommend looking for a HDMIÂ monitor, because a lot more options for connections.
4. The resolution influences the image quality. Pixel resolution is the key. The more, the better. Full HD monitors are the key for a good image rendition without loosing any kind of quality.
I have chosen a model that backs up all 4 necessities listed above by me:
LG IPS MONITOR IPS4 SERIES : it's a Full HD (1920×1080 resolution) 23 inch monitor with IPS panel type, a 16.7 million color rendition, HDMI connector, DVI-D connector, D-Sub connector.
