Dear Experts,
I have seen some scenes in movies which seem as if shot in 1960s or even earlier. When I asked my friends about this technology, I came to know about aged film imovie plugin. Can anyone guide me about this plugin , what are other features in it?

Need to know the functions of aged film imovie Plugin
Hi Florey,
Aged Film is one of iMovie's special effects to transform video clips. It creates a visual effect of scratched film, with a super grainy texture and lines and specks. If you already have iMovie, this video effect can be loaded by selecting the project clip under Project Browser. Or click the Gear icon and select Clip Adjustments (or choose Window→Clip Adjustments). This will show the Inspector with the Clip pane open. Next click the Video Effect button, which shows the Video Effects pane and select Aged Film. A preview of the effect is shown in the Viewer pane. To apply click Done in the Inspector’s Clip pane.
Aside from Aged Film, you can also check out the other video effects such as Black & White, Hard Light, Sepia Tone, Romantic etc.

Hi. Florey Howard,
Aged film movie plug-in software: Convert for import any video clip to movie, Make any video source look like film, Convert and import DVD to movie easily and more.
I used the "old movie" effects plug-ins I purchased from Graeme Matters.Â

I am trying to achieve a 1920's silent movie look with film scratches and dust:Â

For the 1950's, you can want to modify it. As for lighting, you can check some of the films for TCM. Hollywood lit there movies quite harshly, lots of contrast between black and white as opposed to soft grays.
Hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards
