Need a messenger para Ubuntu 2011 to fix updates

Hi, I am using windows XP on my lap and I have installed Ubuntu 2011 version. So now the windows boots with the Ubuntu. I need a messenger para Ubuntu 2011 to fix on it? But when fixing it my lap gets very slow. How can I solve this problem?

Hello,

 

The newer version of Ubuntu needs more RAM than Windows XP, so make sure you have at least 1 Gb of RAM installed on your computer.  Speaking of messengers, you have pre-installed Empathy, which you can use to connect to any of your messaging servers, including MSN, Facebook, Yahoo etc.  Also you should check Pidgin, which is the most popular messaging client on Ubuntu.  Regards.

What you need first is to have a boot loader to handle Windows and Ubuntu. Second, make sure you have a large amount of disk space for both operating systems, as it has been partitioned when you installed your Linux system. Also increase the memory to 2gb or more, as this will help with memory management, especially in Windows.
