Hello
You can ping a router from Mac's PC as shown :
1 – At first if your pc an ip address while it connected to the router it means that the router is working well but , if you want to check connectivty it is ok .
2 – In your desktop select Go and then select Utilities .
3 – Click on Network Utility .
4 – Choose ping tab .
5 – enter the IP address of your router (the common ip of many routers is 192.168.1.1) and select the radio button (send only ping ) you can specify no. of pings .(by example make it 4 ) .
6 – Click on Ping .
7 – Check the ping statistics part you should receive 4 packets with no loss in data .
I hope these steps help you .
