Need to solve Formattiing issues in MS Excel

In MS Excel 2007 and 2010, I have a database of my sites where places are also various sites AUG2345, AUG2346 differentiated AUG2347 and so on. When I'm in AUG2345 in Excel, it converts it updated immediately. when I try to format the cell, it converts it into numbers, but I want AUG2345 data AUG2346 and so continue. Please help.

Need to solve Formattiing issues in MS Excel

Dear Russel j Grifith,

To resolve the issue please follow the instructions below.

1. Select the rang of cells where to want to write the mentioned data as shown in fig 1.

2. Right click on any one of the selected cells and select format options as shown in fig 2.

3. Choose the type to "text" from left menu as shown in fig 3 and click ok button.

4. Now write what you want, your issue has been resolved as shown in fig 4.
