Hi Friends,
Required urgent help; I have tons of emails from the previous desktop computer which was running outlook 2002. Now, I have bought a new laptop with pre-installed Windows 7 but I don’t have outlook installed on it. I tried to install my previous outlook 2002 which is not compatible with Windows 7.
So, I am trying to figure out the way to open the MSG file without outlook because some of these emails are very important and I need to read them as soon as possible. Please, if someone can help me out?
Thanks,
Gutierrez Ryan

Hello Gutierrez Ryan,
If you want to open MSG files without outlook. You can use Windows Live Mail. Since you said that you have Windows 7 installed in your system, it has a good chance that it is already installed into your system. If not then you can download it on the Microsoft Windows website. You should be able to import your mails using Windows Live Mail.
Another way is to convert your MSG files to PDF. There is some free software that can do that. You can also download Adobe Reader for free to be able to view PDF files.
Hope this helps.

No need to figure out how you can access your previous mails offline. Let me provide you with a better resolution.
1. Have a Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 version. Install and configure Outlook on your laptop.
2. Ensure to tick on "Leave a copy to the server check box" for the email client to download the old emails on the laptop.
3. Upon successful configuration, Outlook should automatically download all your emails from the old computer.
Another option is configure the laptop using another email client such as Thunderbird. The same steps apply.
