I want to install dell audio drivers for windows 7 but I have Realtek High Definition currently installed and is having issues un-installing it. It gave an error about the driver being corrupted. Do I have to install Realtek before being able to install another driver or having both installed just fine? Please advise.
Needs to install dell audio drivers for windows 7
Hi Liz,
Make sure you are logged in as administrator for you to be able to uninstall the drivers. Additionally, if it fails then try uninstalling/disabling it from the bios, otherwise when windows starts it will auto-install the drivers once again. Windows 7 offers features that enable one to function with more than one sound card. Once the new sound card is installed, make it the default card.

Hi Liz Ann Joslin,
You must reinstall your previous Realtek audio driver then Restart your computer. When the Realtek is finely installed you can  uninstall it and restart your computer again to completely remove it. After that you can install your Dell audio drivers just make sure that the driver is compatible with your hardware.Â
