Hi Experts,
I was trying to use WinSCP to transfer files between several PCs, one PC being the File Server when I got an error message, see below.
It was just a simple FTP and wondered why I got this network connection problem.
Any suggestions on how to resolve the problem?
Thanks for the help!
Error:
Network error: Connection refused.
OK Reconnect

Network error when using WinSCP to transfer files
Yes dear,
if you have not switched to using SCP or SFTP to transfer files instead of regular insecure FTP, then you will find this problem. So for this problem, you should modify your saved connections in the WinSCP login screen and select connection in the left hand tree view and then change the Keepalives radio button for executing dummy protocol commands.
With this, you can also use the option for “Sending of null SSH packets”, but not all servers support that option, and we want that error message to go away.
Keep in mind to click the save button after you have done it.
