It will take time and a lot of practice to master the Windows Server OS. Here are some basic steps you can follow for now.

1. Try renaming the server.
2. Join a domain.
3. Firewall Disabling.
4. Remote management for enabling remote desktop.
5. Configure the IP settings.
6. Configure update of the Windows.
7. Disable IE Enhanced Configuration.
8. Time zone settings configuration.
9. Antimalware installation.
10. Enlighten the server.
