Yes, Microsoft will be releasing a new operating system for Tablets or any ARM (Acorn RISC Machine) devices called the Windows RT, or formerly known as the Windows on ARM. Windows RT boast the most its longer battery life (means managing the usage of battery by manging programs that will be running). Other features that Windows RT has can also be seen in Windows 7. A great feature for tablet users will be the availability of Microsoft Office programs on their touch-screen devices.

2. Internet Explorer 10
3. Excellent data protection
4. Always stay connected in sleep mode and resume in seconds
Best of Luck
Regards,
The Windows RT operating system is a variant of Microsoft Windows 8 platform that is intended for mobile devices which make use of 32-bit ARMv7 or ARM architecture. Microsoft aimed for devices with Windows RT to get the benefit of the design’s power efficiency which will permit for an extended battery life.
Though Windows RT acquires the functionality and looks of Windows 8, it comprises a number of limitations. One of which is its being incompatible with programs that are designed for older Microsoft Windows editions. To make it simple, it doesn’t support backward compatibility unlike in Microsoft Office products which can open files created in older versions.

Microsoft didn’t clearly say what the letters “RT” stands for but it was believed to refer to the Windows Runtime [RT] design. Also visit Windows 7 or Windows RT.
