In 1970's came ISO's OSI Model proposing 7 layers architecture. Each layer (except Physical Layer) at the sending machine sends instructions through its header to the receiving machine. Why the Physical Layer has got no header?

No header for Physical Layer.
Hi Sarah,
My thought as to why the physical layer does not have headers is because it focuses on the relationship among the devices used for information transfer like the cables and not the transmission of data that will require the headers.
The physical layer the physical connection of the devices in a network, for instance the connection between computers and the switch, computers and the printers, computers with other computers, it also focuses on the topology or the mechanisms by which these devices are connected on the network so that they can share information
It also concerned with transmission of raw bit streams.
Hope this helps.
