No network access on VPN connection on Windows 8.

I have a latest dell laptop with Windows 8 Pro installed in it. I am trying to connect to my network via a VPN and I cannot do so. Whenever I connect through the VPN, i get no network access. When I connect without the VPN, i get network access. Is it a problem with my VPN software? I am using Hotspot Shield. Is this an issue with the network configuration? Has it something to do with Windows 8?

No network access on VPN connection on Windows 8.

Hello Thomas B Yoshioka,   VPN is a virtual private network. There is no problem of compatibility of window 8 with VPN. There will be some different issue. There may be problem with VPN software,but you are using Hotspot Shield. So i think there will defiantly problem is in your  network configuration setting. Please ensure you are using right configuration.
