Hi, each time I start my computer, a message that say there is no signal input appears. It then goes o to hang for approximately ten to twenty minutes before booting. This has been going on for some time. What is the problem here?
No signl input error on computer monitor
Hello There!
That happened to me before.
At first, I ignored it and left my PC rest for about a day. Then, it suddenly worked.
But after a few weeks, It happened to me again. I let it rest again but still, the problem goes on.
The first thing that I tried was to replace the cable connects the monitor to my CPU. After that, the problem was fixed.
If replacing the cable did not fix your problem, try consulting a technician, in most cases, the Monitor is the problem itself.
I Hope this helped you.
Good day!
No signl input error on computer monitor
Hi,
This means that your monitor not connected properly with the computer or the Video card is faulty. Please perform the following steps to narrow down your issue.
-
Check the VGA connector and make sure that the pins are not damaged and it is tightly connected with computer VGA port.
-
If the cable and port seem fine, the monitor could be faulty and you can connect another monitor to make sure your monitor is working fine.
-
If your VGA cable, port and monitor seem fine then you can check your video card by replacing it with another one or if it is a built-in card you should consult with a tech support person.
Hope this solves your issue.

If your monitor suddenly turns black, check its connection. See if the video cable of the monitor is plugged firmly or securely to the video port at the back of the CPU. Also, check if the monitor is plugged in properly to the AC outlet. A loose connection in these two parts can make your screen black. See also if your screen displays a message.
If you see something like “No signal”, it means the video cable of the monitor is disconnected from the video port. So, check if the cable is unplugged from the port. On the other hand, if the cable is plugged in properly to the video port but you see “No signal” displayed on the screen, it is a problem with the video card.
In this case, try first updating the video card driver and see if this fixes the problem. If this doesn’t work, connect the monitor to another computer and see if the problem follows. If the monitor is working there but not on your computer then you need to replace your video card.
But if the monitor is also not working on the other computer, bring it to an electronic service center to get it serviced. It needs to be checked and repaired.
