No sound in my new game

I have installed a new game named as Need For Speed Rivals. It's a very good game but the problem I am facing with this game is worsening it and troubling me. I have a perfect and working sound card and all the sound settings are fine. When I play this game no sound is heard and the in game sound is also working fine. Similarly, I can play music and other games but not of this game. Is it because of some virus? Helpers are welcomed.

No sound in my new game

You are saying that your sound settings are fine & it happens only when you start the game, so the problem is not with your sound card. Now there are two reasons for this to happen: first one is that the anti-virus is creating problem for this game. You can try playing this game in "Do not disturb mode" or "Gaming Mode" of you anti-virus. Another way is fixing the bug of this game. To do so, you can update this game from the manufacturer website to a newer version.

Happy to support you!

• First of all check whether you have properly activated the game audio settings.

 

• Secondly, it can be an issue with Microsoft DirectX, if your game is utilizing DirectX.

 

• Check whether the game requires sound cards settings & they are set properly by opening device manager or start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system information.

 

• Also try switching off hardware acceleration for sound.

Control panel > double click on Sound & Audio Devices > audio tab > click advanced on sound playback area > performance > deactivate hardware acceleration slider 

 

• Further, install the new updates of the game, if available.
